That hill country area between Austin and San Antonio, as in San Marcos, is very nice. At least, to people from mostly flat areas. I am originally from Corpus Christi, TX, which is right on the water and a very nice looking city. If you head to the Gulf, I doubt you would be heading directly in the Bay City direction. lol.. Although we are a little over and hour south of Houston, your route would be coming from a slightly north direction. In-other-words, Bay City is probably about an 1hr and half out of your way. However, thank you very much for thinking about it. If ya do come by, I would be happy to sit down to a meal and talk or just head to my favorite Coffee bar.
