I used to stay awake for hours sometimes before I ever did Polyphasic sleep, but, I believe it wasn't until I started the actually 20 - 30 min naps before it really went away. It seems once I started that, my mind had no choice but to shut down quickly. Eventually I would fall asleep in less than 30 seconds. To this day, even though I no longer do Polyphasic Sleep, I no longer stay awake for hours and usually fall asleep in less than 2 minutes.

Your method of Polyphasic Sleep is similar to Claudie, http://bohemiantranscendence.com/

Thanks for the answer.

I am trying to do polyphasic sleep myself, i started 2 days ago and i have 32 days until i need to be adapted.

My goal is to sleep as few hours daily as possible, but i read that is wasn't necessary to start out by doing only 20 og 30 min. every four hour.

I started by cutting 1,5 hours of my normal nightsleep (9) so i ended up sleeping 7,5 and then i tried sleeping 2x20 min during the day.

But i almost couldn't fall asleep so i cut another 1,5 of my nightsleep. So now i am sleeping 6 hours at night and 2x20 min. during the day. But still i use almost 1 hour just laying in bed before falling to sleep.

But maybe if i go on like this (6 hours at night and 2x20 during the day) i might be tired enough to fall asleep in lets say 10-15 min.

BUT, here's the question. Don't you think this kind of adaption takes a lot longer than it does if i slept 3 or 4.5 hours during the night? Because actually i don't (desperately) need more than 6 hours. So maybe my brain doesn't understand or at least it takes longer for it to understand that it need to go directly in to the REM sleep during the 2x20 or 3x20..

What do you think??

(sorry for the long "post")

Artesian Water is the highest quality of water currently available in mass production. Our bodies have enough issues to deal with and filter out as it is, so I make sure to drink at least the best water I can get to better my health.
