Haha, JD I love the response regarding the coffee. Glad to here I'm not the only heavy drinker.
I keep hearing the stuff Dmitry is saying about caffeine, but I think it largely depends on how quickly you metabolize caffeine. Someone who metabolizes it slowly will obviously have a much more negative effect than someone who metabolizes it quickly. If you like me can drink 5 cups a day and not feel jitterish, I'm pretty sure we are safe with it.

Well, I guess I should have said the crackers were made with unbleached flour and no transfat added. I realize nearly every cracker sold has bleached flour and transfat, but these do not. Now, they weren't organic, but I was indulging myself.

As for the coffee, WHAT! ARE YOU CRAZY!! GET RID OF MY COFFEE!! Just kidding. :-) I realize many people say you must not drink caffeine substances and such when on Polyphasic, however, I do not mirror that belief. I am a strong proponent of caffeine to begin with, give me 5 cups a day and I am happy :-) Also, I am a little confused on what made you suggest that. I mean after all, I slept 1 hour 21 minutes this day. My average day for February was 3 hrs 23 min, which is feat in itself and all the while I drank gallons of coffee (Yummo!) Perhaps you were trying to suggest in order to go two days in a row sleeping under 2 hours I should do this. I am unclear, however I do feel coffee has not lessened my experience with Polyphasic only increased it. (spoken like a true addict) :-)

Sorry, but the preprocessed crap like crackers becomes a poison for poly sleepers.

Also, you may want to try to replace coffee with green tea (select the sources with more theanine and less caffeine) for a week to see the difference.

You know, every time I manage to sleep under 2 hours, I never am able to do it again the next day. I have tried on numerous occasions and even the next day to this under 2 hour day will show a core sleep of like 3 hours and 23 minutes. So, once again I didn't manage to pull off two, under 2 hour days.

I hear what you are saying on hard drives. I have 3 internal and 1 external on that machine and I have another two internal drives that I took from other broken computers that I keep in a drawer full of data on them. I then have 2 laptops, however one I haven't turned on in over 2 years. As for my current broken one, I was able to at least access the data information on the drive via DOS. So I know most of it I should be able to retrieve, however I just hope my main files are not on a corrupted sector of the HD. The computer guy told me he hadn't even got to start on mine yet this afternoon, but it should be ready in the morning according to him. hmm... I doubt that. I could just do it myself if I could use his tools, but I doubt he would allow that. So, I shall spend another day without my main computer :-(

Several things:
1) Wow! 1hour 21min -- that's pretty hardcore, congrats! Do you feel you'll be able to keep up?
2) Sorry about your hdd! There are two things which are capable of driving me insane, and one of them is computer crashes! (I love my computers, I've got to say.) Hopefully you'll be able to recover your data... I just received another external HDD the other day because I've run out of space on both my internal and external drives again...
