Polyphasic Sleep Day 40

Total Sleep Time: 3 hr 38 min

3am – 17 min

Started Late – about 1.5 hours

Meals

  • 1 Beer
  • 1 Newman’s Own Pizza

I just couldn’t keep my eyes open as I was running late on this sleep session.  Dirty Sexy Money: Season 2 was getting really good, so I keep watching.  Eventually I succumbed to my need to shut my eyes and went up stairs to sleep.  I pretty much fell right to sleep and woke without a problem.  I feel rested and pretty much awake, but you know what? I would really like to just lay back down.  I am trying to fight that desire right now.

6am – 3 hrs 7 min

Started Late – about 30 min.

Meals

  • Artesian Water

This was actually two sleep times.  As I started the 6am a little late and I woke fine to the cell phone, but then laid there for a few minutes and my computer alarm went off.  I went down stairs to start my day, but then I started wanting to just lay down again.  The weird part was, I wasn’t even really tired, but I convinced myself it was Sunday, I should just sleep in.  So, you already know what happened.  I came back up stairs and fell asleep, didn’t even set any alarms.  I can say, I feel extremely rested, which leads me to believe that once I am done with this Uberman – JDMan stuff, I will be able to settle into a nice Everyman type schedule; I think.

3pm – 5 min

Started Late – about 45 min

Meals

  • Artesian Water
  • 2 cups of organic coffee
  • 1 Migas breakfast taco
  • 1 Homemade whole wheat tortilla (I made a batch for the entire week)

I wasn’t tired but thought I would rest and take a break.  It took a long while, but eventually I fell asleep and woke with 5 minutes left.  I laid there and then turned off the timer and got up.  I feel really rested and awake :-)

7pm – 9 min

Work-out – took walk

Meals

  • Artesian Water
  • 1 cup of coffee
  • 2 pretzel rods with organic mustard
  • Cottage Cheese & flaxseed oil

I wasn’t really tired and thought I wouldn’t fall asleep, but I went right to sleep.  However, I woke with 9 minutes left.  Again, I feel really good.

11pm – 00min

Started late – about 30 min

Meals

  • Artesian Water
  • 3 pretzel rods with organic mustard
  • 2 handfuls of organic fruit & nut trail mix

Again, wasn’t tired, but I did want to just relax.  So, I set the alarms and laid down.  Never fell asleep, but it was nice to just relax.  I am now very rested but I wonder what this will do for tomorrow.

Total Sleep Time: 3 hr 38 min

Thus ends day 40 of the Polyphasic Sleep Project and overall after sleeping in I felt great!
