I had originally laid down for a 1.5 hour session. I had to start work at 9am so I was a little concerned. I set 2 cell phone alarms and my computer alarm. I was also starting this core about 30 minutes late. Anyway, I finally got up with my computer alarm, but I was so sleepy and couldn’t concentrate and knew this was going to be a problem. So, I thought I would try a 10 minute nap and see what would happen and sure enough, I woke via my cell phone and was wide awake and felt 100% better. I wasn’t tired at all. I was ecstatic, because now I could easily do my work without any drowsiness.

Thus ends day 89 of the Polyphasic Sleep Project and overall I was surprised at how easy it was to skip so many sessions when your brain is active the whole time as in playing a massive mult-player online game such as DAOC.

That’s some good time How do you feel going back to around 3hrs after the small increase of sleep you had for a few days?

I seem to be all over the place at least when it comes to actually staying on schedule. I can say, as you have mentioned before on your blog, that getting right back on it is not a problem. I much prefer to sleep less now and when I get a long core in, say 5 – 6 hours I feel so tired for most of the day.
It’s interesting you say this about the long core because a little over a week ago, I had to completely move around my schedule which resulted in a couple of monophasic days. The result: I felt very sleepy on those. Although during my vacation I had no troubles with going back to monophasic, I’m starting to think that polyphasic sleep might have a way of actually sticking to you
