Blogging – Day 16

Day 16 of the Blogging Project.  I spent most of the day out of the house, so I didn’t get to really work on the site.  However, I did talk to some people at Main Street Coffee Bar here in Bay City that were interested in the site, so it was nice to be able to show people what it is about and hopefully add to their experience on the web.  I have been thinking about building quick website blogs for people that do not quite understand how to get started themselves; for those that want the control of their own site, but not have to pay an arm and a leg to have it done.  Maybe a $25 charge for the work + $15  for domain name registration for the year.  So, for $40 you could have your own personal blog set up and ready to go in 24hrs, plus I would of course set you up with the right advertising and the blog, at the least, would probably pay for itself without you having to do much at all.  If you did decide blogging was for you, you might make a little extra money on the side. I might make a page dedicated to this to help people out.  For example I did a cursory search for the Main Street Coffee bar here in Bay City and I only found third party references where only directions and overviews were found.  However, wouldn’t it be nice to have their own site, with perhaps the menu, and maybe a video of the place, complete with pictures, and scheduled events.  Even groups that like to meet there, now the could just go to the Main Street site and leave comments or add a plug in for scheduled events.  A place that would give interaction with the customers and events that would draw customers in everyday.  Well, anyway, it is a thought.  I didn’t write any new articles today as I spent most of it out of the house.

Personal Blog:
Today was a very nice day.  I spent it talking with others at Main Street, helping them with computer related issues.  Heck, I think I would enjoy going everyday, just to help people with their computer related issues.  It gives me a kind of sense of purpose for now.

I was very surprise when Elizabeth came back into town and I will able to spend a little time with her tonight.  I wasn’t expecting that, so that made for a really enjoyable complete day :-)

Well, I still have a lot of work to get back to, so… Oh, and I am going to forgo the beer tonight  , I know, blasphemy, and see if that helps me to stay awake better as I yawn right at this moment.  Hmm, I only have an hour before I get to sleep again, so that is something to look forward too. lol..

G’night everyone, sweet dreams,

JD
