I started this session late because I was watching Kyle XY: Season 2. I planned on only sleeping for around 20 minutes, but after I woke and turned off the alarms, I laid back down and went to sleep. I awoke on my own, but I feel very sleepy.
7am – Skip
I had just woken up so I skipped this one.

I was very tired going into this session. I fell right to sleep, but woke with 3 minutes left on timer. Right now, I am tired and want to go back to sleep.

I went right to sleep and woke with the cell phone alarm. My work out went better than I thought it would, it had been two weeks since I last worked out last and thought maybe I would be able to lift the weight, but all was good.
7pm – 11 min

- cottage cheese with flaxseed oil
I didn’t think I was going to fall asleep, but I eventually did. I feel pretty rested now.

I laid down thinking I wouldn’t fall asleep. I almost just got back up, but eventually I fell asleep. I woke to the cell alarm and I feel rested.

Thus ends day 51 of the Polyphasic Sleep Project and overall it was an average day it seemed; not too tired not too wired either.

I’ve noticed that for the past several days you’ve been feeling very sleepy. Any idea what’s causing this? just trying to minimize the number of hours you are sleeping, or other external factors as well?
I’m asking because usually when I feel like that, it’s when I’ve messed up somehow my polyphasic pattern. I feel better immediately after a nap, but sometimes it takes my second nap to feel completely “right”. And with your schedule, I guess it takes many more…
It does seem though that you are making good progress on your goal.

It is probably a combination of both external factors and trying to minimize my sleep time. However it may be due to more external factors lately. It is incredible how amazing our minds are and I notice that when I feel lonely or little depressed it is hard to be motivated to keep staying on this polyphasic sleep schedule. lol… of course that is probably true of anything. Lately, I just want to sleep for hours and hours some times. On the flip side when I am excited and feel like life is so wonderfully incredible, waking and sleeping is a piece of cake. So, on more self reflection I would surmise my recent issues with tiredness is stemming more from my state of being than anything else lately.
