Polyphasic Sleep Day 63

Total Sleep Time: 3 hrs 44 min

3am – 5 min

Started Late – 30 min

Meals

  • Artesian Water
  • 1 Beer
  • Spaghetti with Asiago cheese and chicken.

I was tired and looking forward to sleeping, but I just couldn’t fall asleep.  I eventually did, but I doubt I will make it to 7am.  We shall see.

7am – 3 hrs 10 min

Started Early about 2 hours

Meals

  • Artesian Water

I was so tired that I laid down for a second without my alarm clock.   I woke and realized this mistake is going to cost me my goal of trying to make it under 3 hours a day for a month.  I will get close so that is an accomplishment in itself but now it is such a relief to be out of under this weight.  I can now start my new schedule which will be five 10 minute naps with a 3 hour core.

11am – 9 min

Started Late – about an hour

Meals

  • 2 cups of coffee

I was still dealing with some personal issues that pushed this nap time back an hour.  I fell asleep rather quickly and woke via my cell alarm.

3pm – 9 min

Started earlier – about an hour

Meals

  • Artesian Water
  • 1 pretzel rod

I seem to be all over the place on my time today, either before or after the scheduled time.  I fell right to sleep and woke via my cell alarm.

7pm – 10 min

Started earlier – about 45 min

Work-out

  • Walk at trail

Meals

  • Artesian Water
  • 3 Pretzel Rods

I was getting really sleepy so I took my nap a little early.  I fell right to sleep and woke via cell alarm.  Once again these 10 minute naps are great!  I wake without any issues associated with sleep.

11pm – 10 min

Meals

  • Artesian Water
  • 1 Banana

Went straight to bed and woke via my cell alarm.

Total Sleep Time: 3 hrs 44 min

Thus ends day 63 of the Polyphasic Sleep Project and overall it was a disappointing day as there is no way to achieve my goal of averaging under 3 hours of sleep each day for the month.  At least I can put this to rest and get on with a new Polyphasic Sleep schedule.  I will be following my 10 minute nap routine which is a 3 hour core with four 10 minute naps.  It should be a piece of cake, as easy as pie, but we shall see.  I will also be doing this at a lonely time in my life when all I want to do is sleep.  Well, not really, but maybe  curl up somewhere.

Sleep Well,

JD
